The most private of the three units on the property with its own private deck and covered porch, the Nordic House is a rustic cabin with the modern comforts you love.
The Nordic House has 3 bedrooms and 2 full bathrooms. It is located just across the lawn from the Great House and Studio and has a more contemporary feeling. Numerous windows offer views into the forest and mountains beyond. A large wrap around deck offers a perfect viewpoint for wildlife and birds. Two spacious bedrooms, one with a California King bed, one with a queen as well as a queen sleeper sofa in the living room allows expansion for up to 7 in this house. There is also a queen in the second living area. The Nordic House also has a fully equipped kitchen and dining area as well as a private deck and propane grill. Right outside the front door you'll find shared picnic tables and a shared fire pit area.

With 16 private acres bordering the Stillwater State Forest (in the foothills of the Whitefish Range of the Rocky Mountains) and an on-site loop trail, outdoor recreational activities abound at Stillwater Mountain Lodge. The Whitefish Trail: Beaver Lake Trailhead is just across the property, and links you to miles and miles of wilderness to explore along scenic, carefully-maintained routes. Whether hiking or mountain biking the endless trails in the summer or cross-country skiing or snowshoeing in the winter, your Montana adventure all starts from the front door.
A short hike brings you to Murray Lake, a secluded wilderness deep-water lake that provides plenty of opportunity to fish, swim, boat or kayak / canoe. Beaver Lake and numerous smaller lakes are just up the road in the Stillwater State Forest. Large game is abundant in the area, and whether it's hiking, biking, hunting or fishing you're after, Stillwater Mountain Lodge is your spot.

With an AC split and fans for the summer months, you will be kept perfectly comfortable. In the winter months, the road leading to the property is diligently plowed by the county up to the trailhead, paths and driveways are maintained, and the property is kept ready for your arrival. There are heaters in every room, a covered porches for and private deck relaxing, and nearby trails are groomed and ready for classic cross country skiing or fat snow tire biking. Check with Whitefish Bike Retreat (across the street) for trail conditions, grooming and rentals.
What to be aware of: No smoking or pets are allowed on this property. There is a limit of 3 vehicles for this unit unless otherwise approved. Maximum occupancy at all times for this home is 7 adult guests. Exterior cameras are provided for safety and security. Please come and have a good time, but remember that behavior that is disrespectful or disruptive will result in forfeiting the remainder of your stay. Stay on marked paths during snow and avoid overhangs. Additional liability waiver terms apply.
